Ja Rule Sent To Jail For Two Years
Rapper Ja Rule has been sentenced to up to two years in prison for gun charges by a court in New York. He was dressed in a grey sweat suit, and said “see y’all later” to fans and family as he was handcuffed and led away from the Lower Manhattan courthouse.
The multi-platinum artist plead guilty to attempted criminal weapon possession back in December after cops found a gun in his car in 2007. Ja Rule, 35, could be released in as little as 18 months for good behaviour. Police said they stopped the rap star’s Maybach sports car after it was speeding and found a loaded, unregistered 40-caliber semi-automatic gun in a rear door. He was charged under a New York law that generally forbids people from having firearms outside their homes or workplaces.
The musician spent his final days of freedom before the sentence began putting finishing touches on his next album: “Pain Is Love 2″, which is expected out in late July or early August, says his manager Ron Robinson. Ja rule says he wants to make the most of his time in prison. Ja Rule‘s family and fans were in the court room, and the rapper recently told TMZ.com he plans to keep active behind bars by writing a book, studying for exams and possibly taking up the guitar. “I’m gonna try to make good of my time while I’m inside,” he told the entertainment site.
The musician is also facing the possibility of a federal prison sentence for failing to pay taxes on more than $3 million in income. He pleaded guilty to those charges in March. Born Jeffrey Atkins, Ja Rule emerged as a hard core rapper in the late 1990s with hits such as “Holla Holla” & “It’s Murda”.

Pop’s princess Britney Spears, has confirmed a full list of UK tour dates.
The ‘Till The World Ends’ singer will bring her ‘Femme Fatale’ tour to various cities including London, Manchester and Birmingham.
The news shortly followed the announcement that Spears will play at Dublin’s O2 Arena on October 24 and at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast on October 25.
She said:
“I can’t wait to come back to the UK and perform for my fans there, it’s been too long!”
Spears launches the tour in the States with a date in the Californian city of Sacramento on June 16. She will be supported on the American dates by hip hop diva Nicki Minaj, who described the headliner as “an icon”.
However, to Britain’s disappointment, Minaj recently confirmed on Twitter that she “will not” join Spears on the UK dates.
Spears’s next single from Femme Fatale, ‘I Wanna Go’, is expected to be released on August 8.
Tickets for the UK dates, listed below, go on sale on June 10.

Kanye West’s Controversial New Music Video “Monster” !!!
Kanye West‘s controversial new video for “Monster,” off his album “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy,” has finally been released. Not surprising that Kanye and controversial get used in the same sentence over and over… The new video features imagery of a disturbing nature (corpse-like women, dismemberment, to name just a couple things).
The final version does come with West‘s disclaimer:
“The following content is in no way to be interpreted as misogynistic or negative towards any groups of people. It is an art piece and it shall be taken as such.”
“Monster” came shortly after another recent music video controversy. Rihanna last week was forced to defend her video for “Man Down,” which portrays the singer’s violent interpretation of taking revenge for sexual assault. Rihanna later called her video
“art with a message,” and told BET, “We just wanted to hone in on a very serious matter that people are afraid to address, especially if you’ve been victimized in this scenario,”
Rihanna said.

Cheryl Cole Set To Return to US X Factor
Just as the American dream looked over for Cheryl Cole, could she be making a shock return to The X Factor USA?
Cheryl Cole’s dream of being a judge on X Factor USA was suddenly, and humiliatingly, cut short as she apparently wasn’t up to par.
But just as surprising, there has been another twist to this never-ending saga. There are now reports stating that she has been offered her job back.
Showbiz editor of News Of The World, Dan Wooten said on Sky News: “It’s just a matter of Cheryl actually agreeing to definitely get on that plane.”
He continued: “This has been pretty damaging for her and it’s also been hugely damaging for Simon Cowell because it’s looked like he hasn’t been in control of his own show.”
He also said: “What this is about is him taking back the initiative really and saying to Fox TV in the states, ‘I believe in Cheryl, I want her back’.”
But don’t forget, there had been no official confirmation of Cheryl Cole being sacked by Fox or anyone associated with the show and Simon Cowell. We shall await the next twist in the story….
Jai McDowell Wins Britain’s Got Talent 2011
Jai McDowell is crowned Britain’s Got Talent 2011 champion.
Ten acts battled it out for £100,000 prize money and a place in this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
Each performer gave it their all in front of judges Simon Cowell, Michael McIntyre, Amanda Holden and David Hasselhoff but it came down to a public vote who voted in their millions.
Tonights final came after the show’s creator Simon Cowell dismissed as “utter lies” claims the show was fixed on Friday’s semi final.
An anonymous blogger claimed 12-year-old Ronan Parke was in contact with Simon and already had a management deal.
Simon called in police to investigate what he called a “deliberate smear campaign”.
Ronan himself also dismissed the claims and claimed the only coaching he had received was from his singing teacher back in Norwich.
The final 10 were: Razy Gogonea, Michael Collings, Les Gibson, James Hobley, New Bounce, Jean Martyn, Ronan Parke, Paul Gbegbaje, Jai McDowell and Steven Hall.
Jennifer Lopez Sex Tape To Be Released?
Sexy pop star & American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez, is in battle with her first husband who last night said to be nearing a mega deal to sell their honeymoon videos to a porn site.
But J-Lo’s lawyers were hoping to block it by enforcing a fixed injunction the superstar took out to stop Ojani Noa releasing the tapes, in which she appears naked.
Noa, who was married to J-Lo for 11 months in 1997, found a legal loophole last week in his battle to cash in.
Claudia Vazquez, Noa’s current girlfriend, was backed by a Los Angeles judge as she bought 27 hours of footage, including 20 minutes of nudity, for a dollar (about 60p) from Noa.
She claims that J-Lo was harming her livelihood by blocking work on a planned film incorporating the tapes.
Ed Meyer, Noa’s manager, said bids started “in the hundreds of thousands” and were expected to rocket.
He also boasted of porn sites that wanted the tapes, he said: “If an offer looks good we’ll definitely take it.”
Kate Miller of Pornhub, the X-rated version of YouTube, said they had already allocated a place in their celeb section.
Meyer insisted Noa could market the steamy footage for the reason that J-Lo gave him permission to film her and gave him the tapes when they split.
J-Lo, now married to singer Marc Anthony, plans to appeal against the judge’s ruling. Noa has been fighting to release the tapes since 2007.
‘Bond 23′ UK Cinema Release Date
The James Bond film series’ 23rd motion picture is set to be released on October 26, 2012.
The release date for UK cinema’s was confirmed by Sony Pictures UK on Thursday via their official Twitter account.
Bond 23 – the working title for the project – had already been announced as debuting in the US on November 9, 2012.
Plans were reportedly put on hold last year for ‘Bond 23′ because MGM were facing financial crisis, but were revived once the company emerged from bankruptcy in November 2010.
Earlier this year, Judi Dench disclosed that she is to reprise her role as M for the upcoming movie, but made it clear she can’t give us any inside info saying: “I can’t tell you anything at all!”
Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes is to direct the movie, and Daniel Craig will return as 007, and Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli will produce.
Sir Anthony Hopkins and Javier Bardem have both been linked to roles in Bond 23.

Michael Jackson is still managing to make music history after death! The ‘Thriller‘ star, who passed away almost 2 years ago of a cardiac arrest at the age of 50, has topped the Billboard‘s Dance/Club Play Songs Chart for the first time in almost 16 years with his latest single ‘Hollywood Tonight‘.
Jackson‘s 15-year, 11-month break between No. 1‘s makes it the chart’s longest since Cyndi Lauper ended a 24-year, three-month gap between “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” (March 24, 1984) and “Same Ol’ Story” (June 28, 2008). (Lauper didn’t have to wait long for her next No. 1; “Into the Nightlife” followed “Story” to the summit the week of Aug. 30, 2008).

Lady GaGa breaks global record with album ‘Born This Way’ becoming the fastest selling album in the world of 2011.
The ‘Judas’ star released the album last week. It has gone on to top the album charts in 13 countries and has already received platinum certifications in Australia and Brazil.
‘Born This Way’ has managed to sell over 2million records in its first week of sales , with 1.11 million of those sales coming from the US alone.
GaGa topped the UK album chart on Sunday, selling 200,000 units, easily making it the fastest-selling of the year so far.
The initial high sales in the UK have pushed GaGa past the 3 million albums sold milestone when combined with her debut record The Fame, which has managed to shift over 2.7 million copies so far while continuing to remain in the chart’s top ten.
